Refunds, returns, and exchanges

Pat is committed to your satisfaction. Genki is the Japanese word for happiness.

As part of Pat’s Genki (happiness) Guarantee, if you’re not happy with your order, please send us an email to [email protected] and we’ll work with you to find a solution.

Should you experience any product defect, originating at the manufacturer or in transit, any quality issue or damage from shipping, please send us an email to [email protected] and we’ll work with you to find a solution.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your order. If for any reason you’re not happy (genki), let us know with an email to [email protected] or request a return through your account dashboard here.

Genki Guarantee Details

For the sale of digital products such as downloadable ebooks or audio content,  all sales are final. Paid trial memberships are also final sale. Please note that we are unable to accept returns on any open or used items. Tea is not eligible for return due to health and safety concerns with restocking, even if unopened and unused.

For the Japanese Cooking Club (JCC) membership, the Cafe Club membership, cooking programs, cooking classes, workshops and other products not governed by separate agreements or terms, the Company provides a money-back guarantee. That money-back guarantee is governed by the following terms, except to the extent that the terms of a specific product or service provide otherwise.

To obtain a refund, you must request your money back within 30 days of the purchase for a JCC monthly membership, and 90 days from the date of purchase of a workshop, Cafe club membership, 3 month JCC membership or annual JCC membership. You may request your money back by emailing [email protected] or through your account dashboard.

The email must contain information about the product your purchased, the date of the purchase, and the email and name associated with any such purchase. You are not required to submit any proof that you have completed any work or meet any other requirements.

Upon determining that you are entitled to a refund pursuant to this policy, the Company will promptly issue an instruction to its payment processor to issue the refund. The Company does not control its payment processor and will not be able to expedite any refunds.

If you receive a refund of any purchase through this money-back guarantee, that shall immediately terminate any and all licenses granted you to use the material provided to you under these Terms of Use or any other agreement. You shall immediately cease using the material and shall destroy all copies of the information provided to you, including without limitation: video recordings, audio recordings, forms, documents, slide shows, membership areas, social media groups limited to paying members, and other resources.

Any customer may redeem a money-back guarantee from the Company only once regardless of how many products and/or services the customer purchases. In other words, after a customer has received a refund for any one product under this money-back guarantee, that customer shall not be entitled to a refund as to any other product or service purchased from the Company.

If there was a bonus offer sent to you such as printed cookbooks, merchandise such as apparel (shirts), coffee mugs, or tea, the difference in cost (the total for the product and shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund as applicable.

For other hard goods, such as tea cups, tea accessories, all day i eat like a shark merchandise, in brand new unopened/unused condition, we accept returns up to 30 days after delivery.

If the item is unopened and in its original condition, we’ll send instructions for you to return it.

Once the item has been received we’ll process the refund for the full order amount minus the shipping costs.

Refunds typically take 3-5 business days before they show on your bank statement.

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at [email protected] with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We’ll do our best to help reach a satisfactory solution.
